# How to Convert a Lead to a Customer

Learn how to seamlessly convert a lead into a customer in ClearCRM to manage your sales pipeline efficiently.

## Steps to Convert a Lead to a Customer

1.  **Navigate to the Leads Section**
    
    -   Click on **CRM** in the left menu.
        
    -   Select **Leads** to view your list of leads.

2.  **Select a Lead**
    
    -   Find the lead you want to convert in the list.
        
    -   Click **View** next to the lead’s name to open their profile.
        
3.  **Convert to Customer**
    
    -   On the lead’s profile page, click the **Convert to Customer** button.
        
    -   A new form will appear with pre-filled details from the lead.
        
4.  **Review and Complete Customer Details**
    
    -   Ensure all mandatory fields are filled, such as **First Name, Last Name, Email, Company, and Password**.
        
    -   Modify or add any missing information as needed.
        
    -   Choose whether to send a **password setup email** or skip the welcome email.
        
5.  **Save the Customer Profile**
    
    -   Click **Save** to finalize the conversion.
        
    -   The lead will now be listed as a customer in the **Customers** section.
        

## Notes

-   Once a lead is converted, it is no longer listed in **Leads** but instead appears under **Customers**.
    
-   You can always edit customer details later if needed.
