Navigating to the Segments Page

  1. Log in to ClearCRM.

  2. From the main navigation menu, go to Marketing > Segments.

  3. Click the "Add New Segment" button at the top of the page to open the segment creation interface.

Understanding the Segment Creation Page

The segment creation page consists of two main tabs: Details and Filters.

1. Details Tab

This tab includes the fundamental information for the segment:

  • Name (Required): Enter a unique name for the segment.

  • Category (Required): Select a category from the dropdown list.

  • Color: Choose a color to visually distinguish this segment.

  • Public Segment: Choose Yes or No to determine if the segment should be publicly accessible.

  • Published: Select Yes or No to publish the segment immediately or save it as a draft.

  • Description: Add any relevant notes about the segment using the text editor.

After filling out the required fields, proceed to the Filters tab for further configuration.

2. Filters Tab

This tab allows you to define conditions to dynamically include contacts in the segment.

  • Filter Type: Choose between Lead or Customer.

  • Condition Selection Box:

    • First dropdown: Select And/Or to define multiple conditions logically.

    • Second dropdown: Choose an attribute (e.g., Name, Website, Email, etc.).

    • Third dropdown: Specify a condition (e.g., Equals, Not Equals, Greater Than, etc.).

    • Input Field: Enter the corresponding value for filtering.

Additional conditions can be added using the "+" button next to the input field.

Finalizing and Saving the Segment

Once all details and filters are set:

  1. Review the segment details and conditions.

  2. Click the Save button at the bottom-right corner of the page.

  3. The new segment will now appear in the Segments Dashboard.

By following these steps, users can efficiently create and configure a new segment in ClearCRM, ensuring that contacts are organized based on specific conditions.
