Adding a New Lead Scoring Rule in ClearCRM

The Lead Scoring feature in ClearCRM allows users to assign points to leads based on their actions, helping businesses prioritize high-value prospects. This article explains how to create a new lead scoring rule.

Creating a Lead Scoring Rule

  1. Navigate to Lead Scoring

    • Click Marketing in the left menu.

    • Select Lead Scoring from the submenu.

    • Click the "Add New Point Action" button at the top.

  2. Fill in the Rule Details

    • Name (Required) – Enter a name for the scoring rule.

    • Category – Select a category from the dropdown.

    • Published – Choose whether the rule is active (Yes is checked by default).

    • Description – Add a brief description of the rule.

  3. Define the Trigger Action

    • Locate the dropdown labeled "When a contact...".

    • Choose one of the following actions that will trigger the score change:

      • Downloads an asset

      • Is sent an email

      • Opens an email

      • Submits a form

  4. Assign Points

    • Enter the number of points to be added or deducted in the "Change Points (+/-)" field.

  5. Additional Options

    • Add points by Country – Check this box if you want to assign points based on the contact's country (Unchecked by default).

  6. Save the Rule

    • Click Save to finalize the scoring rule.

By setting up lead scoring rules, teams can focus on engaged leads and improve marketing effectiveness.
