Editing a Deal in ClearCRM

This article describes the process of editing an existing Deal.

Editing a deal in ClearCRM allows you to modify key details such as deal value, pipeline stage, and ownership. You can access the Edit Deal page in two ways:

  1. From the Deal Details Page – Click on a deal to open its details, then select Edit.

  2. From the Deals Table – Click the hover button next to a deal and select Edit from the dropdown menu.

Basic Deal Information

  • Title (Required) – The name of the deal.

  • Deal Value (Required) – Enter the monetary value of the deal in decimal format (e.g., 300.00).

  • Expected Close Date (Required) – Choose the anticipated closing date for the deal.

  • Source – Select the origin of the deal (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, Referral).

  • Pipeline (Required) – Assign the deal to a specific sales pipeline.

  • Stage – Define the current stage of the deal (e.g., Presentation Scheduled, Negotiation).

  • Related To – Link the deal to a related contact, company, or project.

  • Deal Owner (Required) – Displays the name of the user managing the deal.

Additional Options

  • Assignee – Select a team member to be assigned to this deal.

  • Tags – Add relevant tags to categorize or filter the deal efficiently.

Saving Changes

Once all necessary modifications are made, click Save Changes at the bottom-right corner to apply the updates.

This streamlined process ensures deals are always up-to-date and aligned with your sales strategy.
