How to Create and Manage Deals

Deals are an essential part of your sales journey in ClearCRM. Whether you're nurturing a lead or working with an existing customer, deals help you manage and track every sales opportunity from initial contact to closing.

Accessing the Deals Section

Start by navigating to the left-hand menu. Expand CRM and click on Deals. This brings you to the main Deals board—a visual pipeline that shows your opportunities at various stages.

What is a Deal?

A deal represents a potential sale—like a service package or a custom solution you’re discussing with a lead or customer. In ClearCRM, deals are flexible records you can connect to:

  • Leads

  • Customers

  • Proposals

  • Contracts

Understanding the Pipeline View

The main Deals page displays your pipeline as columns, each representing a stage in your sales process. Typical stages might include:

  • Qualified

  • Contact Me

  • Presentation Scheduled

  • Proposal Made

Each deal appears as a card within these columns, showing its title, stage, value, and other key details. This kanban-style layout helps your team stay organized and focused on what needs to move forward.

Click on a deal’s name to view its full detail page, including related contacts, documents, and progress tracking.

Creating a New Deal

To create a deal manually:

  1. Click the New Deal button.

  2. In the popup form, enter the deal’s title, value, and closing date.

  3. Choose the appropriate pipeline and stage.

  4. Assign a deal owner.

  5. Link the deal to related entities like a lead, customer, contract, or proposal.

  6. Click Save.

Once saved, the deal card will appear in the selected stage of your pipeline. From there, you can drag and drop it to different stages as the opportunity progresses.
