Team Chat in ClearCRM is your internal messaging hub—perfect for staying in sync with teammates, managing projects, and reducing back-and-forth emails.
Step 1: Open the Team Chat
From the left-hand navigation, go to Projects > Team Chat.
You’ll land on the chat page, which has three tabs:
Team – One-on-one chats with individual teammates
Groups – Shared spaces with selected team members
Customers – For customer communication (covered in the Service section)
Step 2: Find the Right Person or Group
Use the search bar to quickly locate teammates.
Use the Filter button to view only Online, Offline, or Unread conversations.
Stick with All if you want the full list.
Step 3: Use the Create Events Button
Click the Create Event button to open up three powerful options:
Announcement – Broadcast messages to selected teammates
Choose recipients, type your message, and send
Create Group – Build a dedicated chat group for a team, project, or topic
Name the group and select members
Quick Mention – Link to CRM records directly from chat
Mention things like leads, deals, projects, or proposals
Step 4: Use Mentions to Share Context
Inside any chat, you can insert direct mentions of CRM records:
Click Quick Mention, select the type (e.g., Project), and pick the specific item.
The mention becomes a clickable link your teammates can follow to jump directly into the relevant record.
