Editing a Contact in ClearCRM

When managing contacts in ClearCRM, you can access and edit a contact’s details by clicking on their name or using the hover menu next to it and selecting Edit. This opens a detailed pop-up window where you can modify various fields related to the contact.

Contact Details Fields

Basic Information

  • Profile Image – Upload or change the contact's profile picture.

  • First Name & Last Name – Edit the contact’s full name.

  • Position – Define the contact’s role or job title.

  • Email & Phone – Update the contact’s primary email address and phone number.

  • Direction – Choose the preferred communication direction (e.g., system default).

Security and Access

  • Password – Option to reset or change the contact’s password (leave blank to keep unchanged).

  • Primary Contact – Checkbox to mark the contact as the primary point of contact.

  • Send Set Password Email – Automatically sends an email to the contact with password setup instructions.

Permissions

  • Define access rights for the contact by toggling permissions for:

    • Invoices

    • Estimates

    • Contracts

    • Proposals

    • Support

    • Projects

Email Notifications

  • Choose which email notifications the contact should receive:

    • Invoice

    • Estimate

    • Credit Note

    • Project

    • Tickets

    • Task

    • Contract

Saving Changes

Once all modifications are made, click the Save button to apply the changes. Alternatively, click Close to discard changes and exit the window.

This pop-up window allows for quick and efficient contact management without navigating away from the main CRM screen.
