Getting Started with Leads

Leads are often the starting point of your journey in ClearCRM. These are your potential customers — the people you want to connect with, convert, and eventually turn into loyal clients.

This guide walks you through the different ways to add and manage your leads, whether you're adding them one by one or importing them in bulk.


Create a Lead Manually

To manually add a new lead:

  1. Go to the CRM section in the left-hand menu and click Leads.

  2. Click the New Lead button at the top.

  3. Fill out the details in the pop-up form and hit Save.

That’s it — your new lead is now in the system and ready to be nurtured.


Import Leads from a File

If you already have a list of leads from an old CRM, a spreadsheet, or another source, you can import them in bulk:

  1. From the Leads page, click Import Leads.

  2. Download the sample CSV file.

  3. Fill it out with your own lead data — such as name, email, phone number, etc.

  4. Upload your file and choose a status and source.

  5. Use the CSV mapping tool to make sure your column headers (e.g. name, phone, status) match the system fields.

This mapping step helps ClearCRM correctly interpret which data goes where, even if your spreadsheet structure is different from the template.
